Mr John Edward Sweeny

Passed away peacefully on 5th April 2022 at the Mercy Care Centre Young, surrounded by his loving family. Much loved husband of Gloria. Devoted father and father-in-law of Graham & Angela, Diane & Stuart Lowe, Heather & Tim Mugridge, Jenny & Darryl Jubb, Andrew and Stephen. Cherished Pop to his 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Loved brother of Lorna Blackwood (deceased), Ella Annis-Brown and Vida Hope. Sadly missed by all extended family and his many friends. Late of Hills Street, Young.

An Anglican Service to celebrate John’s life will be held at St John’s Anglican Church Young on Wednesday 13th April 2022, commencing at 1.00pm.
The cortege will then leave for the Young Lawn Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Members of the Bribbaree and Young RSL Branches, the local RFS brigades, the Bribbaree Show Society, members of bowling clubs within the South Western District Bowling Association and members of the Lodge Burrangong, are invited to attend wearing medals and to form a guard of honour.
